SENIOR DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT
Janis Parsley joined the University of Houston in 1993 as a clinical assistant professor and development officer in the College of Pharmacy. Over the last 27 years she has held various fundraising roles in central university advancement, advancement services and as a regional gift officer at UH Sugar Land. Prior to joining UH, she was a pharmacy manager for H.E.B. in Austin, Texas.
At the University of Houston, Parsley has led the development team at the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics for the last seven years. She and her team work with individuals, corporations and foundations to secure gifts for student scholarships, college programs and faculty support in NSM.
Parsley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from UH and an MBA from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.
Director of Development
Stacy Halley joined the University of Houston in November 2018 as Director of Development in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Stacy has more than two decades of experience in development. Prior to joining the University of Houston, she held various fundraising roles at The Salvation Army-Florida and Texas Divisions, Junior Achievement of Southeast TX, St. Francis Episcopal Day School and the American Red Cross.
At the University of Houston, Stacy works to secure gifts of $25,000 and higher in support of the college.
She earned a bachelor of science in human development and family studies from the University of Houston and the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (formerly American Humanics) certification in nonprofit management from the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Houston.
