Courtney Lamm has more than 20 years of experience in leadership, media and marketing. She began her career in Houston at International Demographics, where she trained ad agencies, retailers and media organizations nationwide to better understand qualitative/quantitative market research consumer indicators. She was recruited by the Houston Chronicle and eventually led the Million Dollar Accounts department. As a lead strategist and manager, she was responsible for an organization-wide revenue strategy of an $80 MILLION annual budget. She led cross-functioning teams to secure multi-million-dollar projects for the Houston Chronicle. Lamm joined the University of Houston in 2013 and leads HPM’s fundraising and marketing strategy to support the station’s multi-media platform and funding of its $19 MILLION annual operating budget. Current responsibilities include oversight and strategy of HPM’s activation of all multi-media platform fundraising and marketing, lead strategist for corporate and foundation relations, membership and annual Fund, gift process management, gift planning and major gifts and management of the Houston Public Media Foundation Board of Directors and Affinity Council Volunteers.
Through these activities she and her teams have secured $169 MILLION toward the current University of Houston $1 billion “Here, We Go” Campaign.

Mary Ann Marucci
Senior Director of Advancement
Mary Ann Marucci has always had a love of media, journalism and philanthropy. She grew up watching Walter Cronkite deliver the nightly news and as “America’s most trusted man,” he made a big impression and entrenched her belief in fair and balanced news.
Mary Ann began her career at the Galveston Daily News, later moving to the Houston Chronicle where she worked for 11 years. Mary Ann held positions in sales and sales management in retail, national and classified departments and as a regional sales manager during her more than 20-year media career and went on to win various awards for her and her team’s efforts. During her time at the Houston Chronicle, she led the United Way campaign for her division for many years. She has been able to happily combine her love for media and philanthropy together at Houston Public Media for the past five years. She and her team have helped increase philanthropic gifts every year, raise funds for Houston Public Media’s Innovation & Sustainability Fund, increase the number of Affinity Council and Affinity Council Committee members and planned gifts, bringing in an $8MM documented planned gift in FY20, the largest in the organization’s history.
Mary Ann earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Texas State University.
Lilya Keeton joined the University of Houston in 2018 working as a development officer for Houston Public Media. Keeton has 10 years of experience in development for non-profits, specializing in areas such as grant and data management, special events and donor stewardship. She has held several positions with non-profits in Texas and Louisiana.
At Houston Public Media, Keeton works closely with major donors, developing strategies to increase donor support of Houston Public Media’s programs and initiatives.
Lilya Keeton earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mass communications from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
