Penny Bond Reading

Penny Bond-Reading is currently working towards obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Cullen College of Engineering at University of Houston. She is also a member of the Honors College at the University of Houston and was named one of fourteen outstanding first-year students in the Honors College. She is an active member of Honors Advocates, a program that seeks to increase involvement in the Honors College amongst current and prospective students. Combined with her role as a Cullen College of Engineering Ambassador, Penny has participated in numerous recruiting events such as open houses, school tours, and one-on-one information sessions. During her time at home this summer, she worked in a team of five, including two professors, to develop the curriculum for the Honors Introduction to Engineering course for which she is now a teaching assistant. She strives to leave a positive impact on those she meets and seeks roles where she can use her experiences to help others find their path.
