An Endowed Chair endowment will support a faculty full-time employee. This Chair position is a unique incentive to recruit and/or retain senior level national academy or equivalent, high level research faculty members whose teaching and research exemplify UH’s mission. Endowment income provides salary support and resources for research and teaching.
A Full Professor endowment will support a faculty full-time employee. Full Professors are mid-career, highly regarded faculty and are empowered to continue their responsibilities as a professor, with the goal of expanding their research and building their body of work even further.
A College Professor endowment will support a faculty full-time employee. College Professors are early career rising scholars that are experts in their field and teachers of the highest rank. They almost always have a Ph.D., perform research in their discipline, and supervise graduate students.
